Thanksgiving was so great this year. We decided to do a family trip. Justin was out for the week so had enough time. Justin served his Mission in North Carolina. We thought this was a great opportunity to go see it before we moved back west. Who know when we would be able to get this close again. So right after the girls dance recital we piled in the car and headed out.
Our first stop was in Wake Forest.
Justin has some wonderful friends here that he baptized. We were able to go and see them. First we went to the Greys. Kelly was so wonderful. She told some amazing stories and the boys, Riley and Mack, were so great! The girls absolutely loved playing with them. They didn't want to leave.
Next we went and saw Claudia Taylor. She is also a good friend Justin baptized. We had a great visit and again the girls didn't want to leave.
We had a lot of driving time in between all our stops, but the girls were so great. We stopped at a park so they could get some wiggles out and some fresh air. It was a fun park. The were about four different play areas and a large fountain.
Justin as talked about Wilber's Barbecue ever since he came home from his mission. He was so excited to take us here to eat! He has been craving it for 6 1/2 years. Pork barbecue in a vinegar sauce with slaw on the side. It was good barbecue and I loved the fried chicken.
We went out the coast and saw some sites. Here we are at Fort Macon. we had fun exploring all the different rooms and passage ways. The view from the top was great. You could see the ocean.
We went and took a long walk on the beach and let the girls collect lots of stuff. I loved the waves.
While we were driving we saw a sign that said, "Tyron's Palace." I thought that sounded cool so we stopped in this small town, New Burn. The Palace was really neat. It was big and the garden were really gorgeous. I can only imagine what they would look like in the summer with all the flowers.
We then headed out to Virgina to have Thanksgiving dinner with Daniel Rhodes and his family. we had a great time. The food was great. Daisy and Lily were in heaven with all the girls that wanted to play with them and dote on them.
We had a great vacation. Saw lots of things and had a lot of quality time. The girls traveled amazingly well. I would do this again. Our Trip was a week long and we cover six different states. Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. For more pictures from our trip watch our slide show.

What Fun!
Good job, Daisy, Lily, and Violet for being good on the trip. That probably helped your parents out a whole lot! We are glad that you all enjoyed your adventure!
