Highlights of our Thanksgiving trip

Thanksgiving was so great this year. We decided to do a family trip. Justin was out for the week so had enough time. Justin served his Mission in North Carolina. We thought this was a great opportunity to go see it before we moved back west. Who know when we would be able to get this close again. So right after the girls dance recital we piled in the car and headed out.
Our first stop was in Wake Forest.
Justin has some wonderful friends here that he baptized. We were able to go and see them. First we went to the Greys. Kelly was so wonderful. She told some amazing stories and the boys, Riley and Mack, were so great! The girls absolutely loved playing with them. They didn't want to leave.
Next we went and saw Claudia Taylor. She is also a good friend Justin baptized. We had a great visit and again the girls didn't want to leave.
We had a lot of driving time in between all our stops, but the girls were so great. We stopped at a park so they could get some wiggles out and some fresh air. It was a fun park. The were about four different play areas and a large fountain.

Justin as talked about Wilber's Barbecue ever since he came home from his mission. He was so excited to take us here to eat! He has been craving it for 6 1/2 years. Pork barbecue in a vinegar sauce with slaw on the side. It was good barbecue and I loved the fried chicken.

We went out the coast and saw some sites. Here we are at Fort Macon. we had fun exploring all the different rooms and passage ways. The view from the top was great. You could see the ocean.

We went and took a long walk on the beach and let the girls collect lots of stuff. I loved the waves.

While we were driving we saw a sign that said, "Tyron's Palace." I thought that sounded cool so we stopped in this small town, New Burn. The Palace was really neat. It was big and the garden were really gorgeous. I can only imagine what they would look like in the summer with all the flowers.

We then headed out to Virgina to have Thanksgiving dinner with Daniel Rhodes and his family. we had a great time. The food was great. Daisy and Lily were in heaven with all the girls that wanted to play with them and dote on them.

We had a great vacation. Saw lots of things and had a lot of quality time. The girls traveled amazingly well. I would do this again. Our Trip was a week long and we cover six different states. Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. For more pictures from our trip watch our slide show.

Geauga Lake

We have had such a great time at Geauga Lake this year. We decided since we were spending most of our summer here we would get a season pass and go a few times. We ended up loving it so much we went more then planned. The girls were so cute in the pools and on the slides.

Here is the splash park and its many slides and fountains.

Daisy went wild. She was up and down every slide she could. She was just beaming that she could go on so many slides and do it all on her own.

This slide was Lily's first favorite slide. The first day we came she was up and down it nearly a hundred times.

But she ended up loving this green slide the best. She loved coming down and landing in the big pool at the end. She was a big girl and could do it all by herself.

This was Justin's favorite ride. You would ride on a big four man tube. The more weight the better. You go through this dark tunnel then drop down into a funnel which you go clear up the sides. Looked like a ton of fun. Too bad I missed out on this one.

The girls also loved to see the characters everyday as we entered or left . They had to have several pictures with them each time.

By the end of all of our trips the girls just loved sitting on the lounge chairs eating snacks and soaking up the sun.

what a park!

We went to a really fun park today I wished I would have brought my camera. It is actually the park I went to when My parents came out to see us. It is the Kennedy Park or also known as Sims Park. Lily loved chasing the geese and Daisy loved trying to feed them. We played on the play ground, but you can also walk down to the beach and Lake Erie. This is where we have swam in the lake before. It was a lot of fun. We will definitely go there again.

Lake Erie

Wednesday was super fun and relaxing. We slep in then ventured out to find a beach on Lake Erie. Success! It was so fun and there were not alot of people at all. Rocky our Dog even enjoyed a break from the back yard. The Girls loved the beach-playing in the water and sand-not much can beat that.

Emily and Lily

The geese came swimming by and didn't even care we were there.

Papa Frecker and Lily
Lily and Daisy loved sitting in the chairs. Lily especially loves to climb on the chair and play drop and you retrieve.
