Take time to enjoy

This week was all about enjoying ourselves. It was taking time to slow down just a bit and doing something that made us happy.

Monday
Justin got to stay home from school and work on building a saddle (something he really enjoys.) It is not too often that he can find the time, but when he does it makes him feel good.

I finished a pair of chinks. They turned out good looking.

Tuesday
I got to have the ladies come over and quilt with me. It has been so fun to get together and accomplish something so fun and cute. It has really been something to look forward to. I love having everyone come over and be apart of something I like to do.

Wednesday
The weather was so beautiful we had to take time and go out to take in the sunshine. I loved it so much I had to dig into the dirt. I love working in the garden. It is so calming...and also good exercise. It is so fun to see the flowers starting to grow and some even flowering.

We also got to go to institute and listen some inspiring words. It was good to take the time to go.

Thursday
I spent most of today working an a pair of chaps. This is something else I like to do with my time when I find extra time. They are turning out to be really nice.

Friday
Justin came home from school early today and worked on the saddle and I got to clean house. How I love a clean house...if only it lasted more than a day.

I also got to take some time and make something for myself or at least something I get to keep. We have been doing ragtime blankets. I wanted to try a rag time pillow to go with my blanket. This is how it turned out. What to you think?

Justin and I got to go on a date tonight. Our neighbors, The Elkingtons, came over and watched the girls while we went out. We were so grateful. We went to Applebees, Thanks Mom and Dad, and enjoyed some wonderful food and drinks. We then went out to a movie, National Treasure: the Book of Secrets. We loved getting out just the two of us. It was time well spent.

Saturday
For Rochelle's birthday, her mom wanted Rochelle pampered and let me take her out. It was GREAT. First we went out to an Italian restaurant and had our favorite Alfredo with broccoli along with a salad and yummy bread. We then went to get pedicures. Wow was that nice. I felt a little silly, but that is usually normal for me. I got to laughing couldn't help myself. And of course when you are laughing and someone is messing with your feet, it gets a little ticklish. It was fun and the message part was heaven. We ended our time with another favorite...smoothies...yum. I truly enjoyed our time together. I definitely could do that more often.

We I got back and showed off me feet Daisy wanted her nails painted too. So while we watched a movie Justin got out the nail polish and Painted Daisy's nails. Lily of course wanted hers done too.

While I was out Daisy enjoyed making a cheese sandwich ALL by herself. Daddy came up from the shop to find Daisy cutting the cheese with a butter knife and putting it on the bread. What a big girl.

Sunday

Of course we always take time to go to church each Sunday and we love it. Don't know what else we would rather do. It makes us feel good when we know we are doing what is right.

Today we went in to wake the girls up for church and found Lily enjoying Daisy's pillow intead of her own. Good thing Daisy didn't fall off the bed.

We made cookie dough today and here the girls are licking the beaters clean. Who doesn't enjoy good cookie dough every once in a while?

A Wonderful Day

Today while the sun shines work with a will....

It was gorgeous today. After lunch we went for a walk. when we got back it was to beautiful to go in so we stayed in the yard. The girls let me work in the flower gardens...the even helped a little. Today Daisy discovered a flower that had bloomed. We were so excited we had to take a picture. Oh how we hope this it the beginning of warmer weather and beautiful flowers.

Today was also wonderful because I felt the baby move for the first time. It is days like this I'm glad to be alive.

Wow What a Week

Monday
St. Patricks Day. We decided to all wear green today. In fact Daisy has been planing what to wear for a week.

We decided to go to the zoo with our friends, the Wildes. When we got there they said we could go to the rain forest and the zoo free because we were all wearing green. What a fun treat!

We love to look at all the different animals. One of my favorites is the Orangutan. They are so interesting. But of course I love to look at almost all of the animals; same with the girls.

The girls were so excited to get outside and play. It was a nice day and the snow about gone. This crazy weather has made us go a little crazy. Is winter melting or not?

For family night we colored our eggs with cryons. Since it was getting lated we saved they dying for later. To bad I didn't take a picture. We were all into making our eggs beautiful with lots of designs.
Tuesday

Today Daisy had a dentist appointment with Dr. Rhodes aka Dentist Dad. She was so excited to go to the dentist and get her teeth checked out. She got to get pictures of her teeth and wear a cool cape. She got all her teeth checked out and has two little cavities. So it looks like we will be back soon.

Lily wanted a turn too. She was so cute. Sat right down and said AHH.

Wednesday
Today Daisy has a small cough so we decided to stay home from preschool. I pulled out my school stuff and all my files. We did a little preschool at home and it was so fun. I wouldn't mind doing this next year for preschool. Today it snowed again. Just when I thought it might be spring.
We also had a little movie night. Justin wanted to watch Indiana Jones, but didn't want interruptions from kid, so we set them up with their own movie.

Thursday
Daisy went back to preschool. She kind of wanted to stay home and do preschool with me again, she enjoyed it that much, but I convinced her to go today because then she would have spring break Friday and all next week. She agreed, but only if we would so preschool at home while she was out for spring break. I think I will definitely be doing preschool at home next year.

Daisy also got to go back to dance. Miss Tracee was gone last week, so she was glad to go dancing again.

P.S. The weather was so nice today. Sunny and even warm. Snow is melting!! Is it spring yet?
Friday

Back to the dentist. Daisy was excited. Her last trip was fun. Wow was she in for a surprise. Getting cavities fixed it a little different then a clean up. She did not want to be there anymore. At one point she sat up and said, "I'm through, I don't want to do this anymore." Justin was trying to be secretive about the shot, but she saw it and that scared her. After that she was jumpy about everything he put in her mouth. Poor thing, but she tried to be brave. It took a while, but we made it through and got it done. She is not so excited about getting cavities and going to the dentist anymore.

Tonight we finished our easter eggs. They turned out beuatiful and colorful. We had a great time. Here is the final project.

P.S. It snowed again tonight. Surprise.

Saturday
What a busy day. This morning I worked doing in the chap shop while Justin helped some neighbors move. I've almost got some custom chaps done. Looking good anyway. Want a peek?

We went for a egg hunt. We did it inside because of the snow. Yes a white Easter again. I suppose it would have still been fun to bundle up, but inside was a little drier for eggs. The girls were so funny. Bustling around finding eggs and stuffing them into their baskets. Daisy loved it. She kept hiding eggs all day and having us look for them.

The girls blowing a kiss for me.

Later I went over to Rochelle Wilde's house to celebrate he birthday and have some girl time with some other friends. We had a great time chatting, snacking, and playing a great game. Thanks Rochelle for a great time!!

Sunday
Hurry get feed and beautiful before rushing out the door to church. These girls are so gorgeous! I just love how they adore each other. They are really becoming good friends and learning to play with each other. The just get bigger and more beautiful each day.

I'm so grateful for my many wonderful gifts the Lord has blessed me with. As it is Easter, I reflect on what Jesus Christ has done for me and for all of us. To know that I can strive to be better everyday through his atonement and that I too get to live again because of his resurrection. I'm so glad to know that I get to be with my family for all times. I don't now what I would do if I didn't have this knowledge.

Happy Birthday

Justin is another year older and deeper in debt.

We sure do love Justin around here. This kids get so excited when Dad comes home. He is such a great dad and love his girls. I think it is wonderful to see him play and wrestle around with Daisy and Lily. Justin like to go outside and play. I think he has enjoyed this winter. From snowmobiles and sleds behind the motor bike to building snowmen and snow caves.

Justin is also a great husband. He is so thoughtful and caring. He is always doing little things for me which I appreciate and love. I love all the cards and notes he leaves for me to brighten my day. I'm glad we are together and get to share our dreams together.

He works so hard at becoming a great dentist. He works hard at school and dreams big at home. Soon we will be done here and moving on into the west and continue our dreaming.

Happy Birthday Justin we love you.
