September 6th
Daisy May Rhodes
5 years old
Saturday was Daisy's birthday and we told her it was her day and we could do whatever she wanted. She thought that was a great idea. We started the day with opening presents. She got some new dance things. A mermaid doll. A walking horse. And things for preschool.
Next we had a birthday party with Daisy's friends. We had so much fun. We started out with pin the hat on Daisy. The kids thought it was so funny to be blind folded and not know where they were going. Then for cake and ice cream. Daisy wanted everyone to have a candle and that was a big hit.
We then moved on to a relay race. The kids were on two teams. They had to run to the basket and put on all the clothes, hop on a horse and race to the back door, come back to the basket and undress, racing to the next person in line. We were all laughing so hard. Everyone was looking so funny.
We opened presents. She got so many fun things. I love watching how excited the kids get to give their presents.
We ended the party with lots more games. We took them for a treasure hunt. Daisy had made pictures for all her friends along with other treasures. We played Duck-Duck-Goose, I spy, Simon Says, and don't let the balloon touch the ground. We all had a great time.
After the kids left we asked Daisy what she wanted to do next. She wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheeses for lunch and games. This was the first time we saw Chuck E. out and about. Daisy thought it was so cool.
After Ice cream Daisy was about ready to go home and take a rest. So we went to the Library so she could pick out a movie. But then also saw the play ground and wanted to play of course. We sure had a busy day. Thanks goodness for popcorn and movies at the end of the day.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart! We love you!
